Organic certification of the CTAB experimental plot
In 2002, the Centre Technique d’Agriculture Biologique signed a contract with an inspection and certification body to ensure compliance with organic production rules for the CTAB ‘s experimental plot at Chott Mariem.
Since then, the plot has been subject to two inspections a year (one announced and one unannounced) by the inspection and certification body, verifying organic production, processing, storage and trading. As a result, the CTAB receives an annual certificate of organic conformity in accordance with Tunisian law 99-30 for the entire experimental plot, which covers around 5 ha.
