Adapting research results

In order to adapt research results to the local and regional levels, CTAB, in collaboration with agricultural research and higher education institutions, carries out plots on the premises of organic farmers and the experimental stations of various agricultural organizations, taking into account climatic conditions and the good representativeness of organic farms. The annual number of these pilot plots is around 30, located in various regions and covering a number of themes specific to organic farming (fertilization, protection, organic product quality, animal health and nutrition, technical and economic studies, etc.).

Experiments at the CTAB station

The CTAB, in collaboration with national and international organizations, conducts an average of 20 experimental trials a year at its Chott Mariem experimental station on various organic farming techniques: varietal adaptation, seed and plant production, compost and compost juice fertilization, crop protection, product quality and economic aspects.
